177: Right to Rescue

Cassie King leads the Communications Committee for Direct Action Everywhere (DxE), an international animal rights group based in Berkeley, California. With DxE, she has helped rescue animals from farms and slaughterhouses, including her two bunnies at home (Jonah was rescued from a live poultry slaughterhouse and Mabel was rescued from a fur farm), and she is currently facing 7 felony charges for helping starving animals on factory farms in Sonoma County, California.

In this episode, Cassie explains the importance (and dangers) of Open Rescues, and how we can get involved.
